Don Rehorn is a native of Santa Fe and lifelong resident of New Mexico. He now lives in Chimayo. His work reflects the rugged natural beauty of the pinon/ juniper studded hills of Northern New Mexico. He also is attracted to the alpine meadows, rugged peaks of the Pecos Wilderness. “I love to paint alpine wildflowers and I love the freedom painting gives me to include blooms from June thru late September in a single work. I especially like to juxtapose a delicate mountain flower with a desert landscape. These originals have appeared in juried shows in Albuquerque and other works have appeared in Guestlife New Mexico and Sustainable Santa Fe’s Resource Guide. Don is an active member of the New Mexico Watercolor Society.
